Dear God,
Caroline and I are hanging out together this morning, watching the sunrise over our back yard. As the yard becomes bright and the light of day comes through our windows, it reminds me of your promise to us that you bring light and life out of the darkness. God today I pray that Caroline know that promise, and that she finds peace in it. It hurts me to think that through her life she'll have darkness, but I know it will fall her. Please hold fast to your promise to bring light in the morning, and please give us faith to believe in you until that light comes.
