Dear God,
I was looking in Caroline's eyes tonight (by the way, thank you for making them so beautiful and blue), and I could see how much she trusts me, how much she relies on me. She needs us for everything right now, and sometimes, when she's quiet right before bed, she seems so helpless in this world without us. So incredibly attached to us. Tonight I pray that you make both Dan and me worthy of that kind of trust, that kind of dependence. Please guide us and give us patience and wisdom in raising Caroline.
Also, thank you for giving us the responsibility of caring for and raising Caroline. Please keep and put people in our lives around us who can help us with that.
